One Of These Days...

....I'm going to start a blog.

...I'm going to organize old pictures into albums.

...I'm going to learn not to feel guilty about enjoying the simple pleasures in life.

...I'm going to do nothing for the sake of doing nothing.

...I'm going to live in Provence, France.

...I'm going to learn not to stress about where life is taking me.

...I'm going to see my Jesus face to face!!
"Look at the nations and watch—and be utterly amazed!
For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told, " declares the LORD.

A Gift of Grace

Funny how God is...

Just when you think you are at your wits end, He sends you a whisper that allows you a glimpse, an insight, a gift to show that He is in control of the world you perceive to be upside-down, inside-out, chaotic, and spinning wildly awry.

And the ease to which He sends the message, allows you to breathe. His breath knocks you off your feet, for you only to realize that He has actually been carrying you all along.

There is but one word that can describe the feeling: relief.  Relief to know that you are not alone.  Relief to know that you may not know the answers, but you know THE WHO who has the answers...and the questions. Relief to know that design, order, and control are safely found in the Intelligent Designer and the Master Planner.  Relief to know that the very ONE who set the stars in the sky, the ONE who knows exactly where each snowflake will fall, the ONE who sends forth each droplet of rain is the ONE who knows the exact numbers of hairs on my head, each word that falls from my lips, each beat of my complex heart. Relief to know that above all, you are loved by the Infinite ONE.

I'm still struggling, praying, trusting.  And in the midst of it all, God uses a friend (thanks Della), to send me a breath.  From across the miles, across the seas, across the years of friendship, a breath of words is sent to me.

A book is suggested and purchased.  A book that contains words, thoughts, breath, and life. A book that sheds light, perspective, relief.

I am but a mere few pages into the book.  The book that has reminded me that He has me in the grips of His grace.  I have read and re-read these few pages, allowing the words to fall anew with each read, allowing them to sink deep into my heart, into my marrow, into my thoughts, into my breath.  I want to receive the gift that the words are ministering to me.  I want the words to rain down fresh into my weary soul.  I want to understand that through all the trials of life, through all the ups and downs, through all the chaos...grace has been extended to me.  Grace. Plain. Simple. Abundant. Grace.

I have included a video trailer here of the gift.  Might I suggest the gift of grace.  The book is entitled One Thousand Gifts ~ A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are by Ann Voscamp.  An excerpt from the book can be found at http://www.aholyexperience.com.  I have a link below on "Blogs I Follow"
